Withdrawal of Manuscript

Withdrawal of Manuscript

The Journal of Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Safety allows authors to withdraw their manuscript under certain conditions. Authors are strongly advised not to withdraw manuscripts unnecessarily, as the withdrawal process involves significant editorial and peer review effort.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins. The request must be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief, stating the reason for withdrawal.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

Withdrawal of a manuscript during the peer review process is generally discouraged. Authors must provide valid and acceptable reasons for withdrawal. The editor reserves the right to approve or reject the withdrawal request.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal of manuscripts after acceptance is not permitted except in exceptional circumstances, such as proven ethical violations, major errors, or duplicate submission. The decision will be made by the Editor-in-Chief.

Withdrawal After Publication

After publication, articles cannot be withdrawn. In cases involving serious errors or ethical violations, the journal will issue corrections or retractions in accordance with publication ethics guidelines.

Withdrawal Procedure

  • Authors must submit a formal withdrawal request via email to the editorial office.
  • The request must include the manuscript title, author names, and reason for withdrawal.
  • The Editor-in-Chief will review and respond to the request.
  • The manuscript is considered officially withdrawn only after receiving written confirmation from the editor.

Ethical Compliance

This policy follows international standards of publication ethics to ensure integrity and transparency in scholarly publishing.
