Digital Preservation
Digital Preservation
The Journal of Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Safety is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. The journal implements digital preservation strategies to guarantee permanent availability and usability of all scholarly articles.
Open Journal Systems (OJS) Preservation
This journal uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which supports digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This system ensures that journal content is securely archived and preserved for long-term access.
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
The journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides free digital preservation services for journals using OJS. PKP PN ensures that published content is preserved and can be restored if the journal website becomes unavailable.
LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Compatibility
The journal supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This creates multiple copies of the journal content to ensure long-term preservation.
Institutional and Local Backup
In addition to PKP PN and LOCKSS compatibility, the journal maintains regular backups of all published content on secure institutional servers to prevent data loss.
Permanent Accessibility
All published articles are assigned permanent URLs and remain accessible through the journal website. The journal is committed to maintaining long-term access to its scholarly content.
These preservation systems ensure that the journal content remains accessible to the scholarly community for the long term, even in the event of technical failure or discontinuation of the journal.
