Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
The Journal of Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Safety welcomes original research articles, review articles, and case studies related to industrial hygiene, ergonomics, occupational health, and safety.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.
- Authors must ensure that their submission complies with ethical standards in academic publishing.
- All submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system.
2. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should be organized in the following order:
- Title (clear, concise, and informative)
- Author names and affiliations
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–5 keywords)
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- References
3. Formatting Requirements
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Page numbers must be included
4. Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract should clearly state the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion.
- Avoid citations in the abstract.
- Provide 3–5 relevant keywords.
5. Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially.
- Each table and figure must have a clear title and source (if applicable).
- Figures must be high resolution.
6. References
- References must follow the APA citation style (latest edition).
- All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list.
- Authors are encouraged to use reference management software.
7. Ethical Considerations
- Authors must ensure originality of their work.
- Proper acknowledgment of sources is required.
- Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
- The journal follows ethical standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
8. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments.
9. Submission Preparation Checklist
- The manuscript is original and not under review elsewhere.
- The manuscript follows the journal template and formatting guidelines.
- All references are properly formatted.
- The manuscript file does not contain author identifying information for double-blind review.
10. Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article.
