Abstract

Marbofloxacin merupakan antibiotik golongan fluorokuinolon yang banyak digunakan dalam bidang kedokteran hewan untuk mengatasi berbagai infeksi bakteri. Selain aktivitas antibakteri yang telah diketahui, senyawa ini diperkirakan memiliki berbagai aktivitas biologis lain yang masih memerlukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi profil aktivitas biologis marbofloxacin menggunakan pendekatan in silico. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan memanfaatkan struktur kimia marbofloxacin dalam format SMILES sebagai data masukan pada platform PASS Online. Hasil prediksi dianalisis berdasarkan nilai Probability of Activity (Pa) dan Probability of Inactivity (Pi), dengan aktivitas potensial ditentukan apabila nilai Pa lebih besar daripada Pi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh aktivitas yang diprediksi memenuhi kriteria Pa > Pi. Aktivitas dengan probabilitas tertinggi adalah Antibiotic Quinolone-like (Pa = 0,727), diikuti Antibacterial (Pa = 0,671), Anaphylatoxin receptor antagonist (Pa = 0,542), Neurodegenerative diseases treatment (Pa = 0,530), Antibacterial, ophthalmic (Pa = 0,510), Topoisomerase II inhibitor (Pa = 0,504), dan DNA synthesis inhibitor (Pa = 0,500). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa marbofloxacin tidak hanya berpotensi sebagai antibiotik, tetapi juga memiliki kemungkinan aktivitas biologis lain yang layak dikaji lebih lanjut melalui penelitian in vitro maupun in vivo.
