Screening for Plagiarism
The Journal of Marine Pharmacy and Biomedicine (JMPB) takes plagiarism seriously and is committed to publishing only original scholarly work.
All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using appropriate similarity detection software before peer review.
The editorial office evaluates similarity reports and distinguishes between legitimate overlap (such as references, methodology descriptions, and standard terminology) and potential plagiarism.
Manuscripts may be rejected if they contain:
- Direct plagiarism
- Self-plagiarism
- Duplicate publication
- Unattributed copying
- Excessive similarity with previously published works
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their submissions.
