Deposit Policy
The Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Journal supports the broad dissemination of scholarly research and adheres to open access principles. This policy outlines the rights of authors to self-archive and deposit versions of their work in institutional or subject repositories.
Author's Rights & Permitted Versions
Authors retain significant copyright under our CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license and are encouraged to share their work. The policy varies by the version of the manuscript:
-
Submitted Manuscript (Pre-print):
-
Status: The original version before peer review.
-
Policy: Permitted without restrictions.
-
Conditions: Authors may deposit pre-prints on personal websites, preprint servers (e.g., SSRN, arXiv), or institutional repositories at any time, even prior to submission.
-
-
Accepted Manuscript (Post-print/AAM):
-
Status: The final author version after peer review and acceptance, but before the publisher's copyediting, typesetting, and branding.
-
Policy: Permitted without embargo.
-
Conditions: May be deposited in an institutional or subject repository immediately upon acceptance. Must include a citation and link to the final published version (DOI).
-
-
Version of Record (VoR):
-
Status: The final, published version as it appears in the journal, with publisher formatting and pagination.
-
Policy: Permitted for deposit.
-
Conditions: The journal encourages deposit of the VoR in the author's institutional repository. The published PDF may be used for teaching, inclusion in a thesis, or sharing with colleagues.
-
Repository Requirements
When depositing any version, authors must:
-
Provide a full bibliographic citation (author(s), title, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, DOI).
-
Include a link/URL to the article's homepage on the journal website.
-
Acknowledge the journal as the original source of publication.
Journal's Archiving Deposit
Simultaneously, the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Journal practices proactive archiving to ensure permanent access:
-
Automatic Deposit: The publisher will automatically deposit the Version of Record into designated preservation archives (e.g., CLOCKSS, Portico, Garuda).
-
Metadata Harvesting: All article metadata is openly available via OAI-PMH for harvesting by global indexing services and repositories.
