Open Access Policy

1. Immediate Open Access

Published articles are made freely accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or embargo periods. Readers may access, read, and download the published full text without paying an access fee.

2. Licensing

BEMO's stated publication license is the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Subject to the license conditions and any clearly identified third-party material exceptions, users may:

• Copy and redistribute published material in any medium or format.
• Adapt, transform, and build upon the material.
• Reuse material for academic, educational, and commercial purposes.

Users must provide appropriate attribution, link to the license, and indicate changes where applicable. The license must not be represented as imposing restrictions beyond its actual terms.

3. Copyright and Publishing Rights

Copyright ownership and publishing rights are governed by the journal's published Copyright Notice and the applicable author publishing agreement. These arrangements must be consistent with the permissions granted under CC BY 4.0.

Copyright and license information should be clearly identified on the journal website and in published article files.

4. Author Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit and share their published articles in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, and academic websites in accordance with the applicable open license, with appropriate attribution and identification of the original journal publication.

Any policy concerning preprints and accepted manuscripts should be clearly communicated in the Author Guidelines.

5. Article Processing Charges

Open access for readers does not necessarily mean publication is free for authors. Any submission charges, article processing charges, waivers, or other mandatory fees must be clearly disclosed on the journal's official Author Fees page before manuscript submission.

Editorial decisions must remain independent of financial considerations.

6. Responsible Use and Attribution

Users are encouraged to reuse published research responsibly, acknowledge original authors, respect third-party rights, and avoid misleading representation of research findings.

7. Access and Accessibility

BEMO seeks to make its publication content accessible through a publicly available journal website and to improve the usability and accessibility of scholarly materials where technically feasible.
