Journal Overview

Bioenvironmental Modelling and Optimization (BEMO) is an international scholarly journal dedicated to advancing mathematical modelling, mathematical analysis, numerical investigation, and optimization in biological and environmental systems.

The journal provides a scientific platform for original research that develops, analyzes, and optimizes mathematical models describing complex biological, epidemiological, ecological, and environmental processes.

BEMO emphasizes mathematical rigor, theoretical contributions, and computational investigations that enhance the understanding of dynamical phenomena and support effective optimization strategies.

Core Research Areas

BEMO particularly welcomes original research in the following interconnected areas of mathematical modelling:

  • Mathematical Model Development — deterministic, stochastic, nonlinear, and differential equation models.
  • Dynamical Systems and Mathematical Analysis — equilibrium, stability, bifurcation, and qualitative dynamics.
  • Mathematical Optimization and Optimal Control — dynamic optimization, optimal intervention, and control strategies.
  • Numerical and Computational Modelling — numerical simulation, parameter estimation, sensitivity analysis, and model validation.

Application Domains

Mathematical models published in BEMO may address biological and biomedical systems, cancer and tumor dynamics, epidemiological processes, population interactions, predator-prey systems, ecological dynamics, pollution processes, environmental systems, and sustainable resource management.

Regardless of the application domain, submitted manuscripts must demonstrate a substantive mathematical contribution through model formulation, rigorous analysis, optimization, or computational methodology.

Our Scientific Commitment

BEMO prioritizes mathematically rigorous and scientifically meaningful research. Descriptive studies, routine statistical applications, and computational investigations without substantial mathematical modelling contributions are generally outside the journal's scope.

Publication Schedule

BEMO publishes two issues annually, according to the following schedule:

Issue Publication Month
Issue 1 June
Issue 2 December
