1. Open Access and No-Fee Publishing Policy

Bioenvironmental Modelling and Optimization (BEMO) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to mathematical modelling, dynamical systems, mathematical optimization, optimal control, and numerical and computational methods applied to biological and environmental systems.

BEMO operates under a no-fee open-access publishing model. The journal does not charge authors for manuscript submission, editorial evaluation, peer review, manuscript acceptance, or article publication. All accepted and published articles are made freely accessible to readers through the journal's official website.

2. Author Fee Structure

The fee-free policy applies to all authors, regardless of nationality, institutional affiliation, or funding status.

3. Editorial Independence and Peer Review

All manuscripts submitted to BEMO are evaluated according to their scientific originality, methodological rigor, academic contribution, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, and compliance with publication ethics.

Editorial decisions are made independently of financial considerations. The absence of publication charges does not reduce the standards of editorial screening, peer review, or scientific evaluation. BEMO does not offer paid expedited review or guaranteed acceptance services.

4. Publication and Author Access

Upon publication, the final version of each article is made available online without subscription or access charges. Authors and readers may access, read, and download the published article and its PDF freely through the journal website, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

5. No Hidden or Additional Charges

BEMO does not impose undisclosed administrative, editorial, processing, or publication fees. Authors are not required to make any payment to individual editors, reviewers, or third parties as a condition of manuscript evaluation or publication.

6. Policy Transparency and Updates

BEMO is committed to maintaining transparent and accessible information regarding its publication fees. Any future changes to this policy will be publicly announced on the journal's official website before taking effect. Changes will not be applied retroactively to manuscripts submitted under the existing fee-free policy.
