Deposit Policy

The Journal of Religion, Local Politics, and Law actively supports the dissemination and preservation of research by allowing authors to deposit key versions of their work in repositories and other platforms. Our policy is designed to be compliant with major institutional and funder mandates.

1. Permitted Versions
Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscript:

  • Preprint (Submitted Version): The original version before peer review.

  • Accepted Manuscript (Peer-Reviewed Post-Print): The final author version accepted for publication, incorporating peer-review revisions but before publisher formatting.

  • Version of Record (Published PDF): The final, published, formatted PDF.

2. Permitted Locations
These versions can be deposited in:

  • Personal or institutional websites

  • Institutional repositories

  • Disciplinary repositories (e.g., SSRN, arXiv)

  • Non-commercial academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

3. Key Conditions

  • No Embargo: There is no embargo period. Deposit is permitted immediately upon creation of the version (preprint upon creation, accepted manuscript upon acceptance, and published version upon publication).

  • Attribution Required: For any public deposit, a full citation and a link to the final published article (using its DOI) must be provided.

  • Licensing: The deposit is understood to be under the same Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license terms as the Version of Record, where applicable.

This Green (SHERPA/RoMEO) policy ensures authors can fulfill open access requirements while maximizing the reach and impact of their research.
