Peer Review Process

Washatiyah: Journal of Political Islam and Society applies a Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure academic quality and objectivity.

  1. The editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript's suitability with the journal's scope and submission requirements.
  2. Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
  3. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
  4. Reviewers evaluate originality, significance, methodology, theoretical contribution, clarity, and relevance.
  5. Based on reviewer recommendations, the Editor may decide to:
    • Accept Submission
    • Accept with Minor Revisions
    • Request Major Revisions
    • Reject Submission
  6. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision.
